Description
The Presto 09915 Over-Pressure Plug is an essential safety component for Presto pressure cookers and canners built after 1977. This small but critical accessory automatically releases steam if the vent pipe becomes clogged and excess pressure cannot be released normally, protecting both your equipment and your safety during cooking and canning.
This over-pressure plug acts as a fail-safe mechanism for your pressure cooker or canner. When steam buildup exceeds safe levels due to a blocked vent, the plug automatically vents the excess pressure, preventing dangerous situations and allowing you to cook with confidence. Whether you're preparing home-canned preserves, broths, beans, or other pressure-cooked meals, this plug provides essential protection by ensuring controlled pressure release.
