Description
The Permatex 81182 Gear Oil Type-999 Gasket Maker is a specialty silicone sealant engineered for the unique demands of gear oil environments. Unlike standard RTV sealants, this formula is specifically designed to withstand friction modifiers found in gear oils that break down conventional sealants, making it ideal for differentials, transfer cases, and other gear oil applications. It provides a reliable, flexible seal that prevents leaks while maintaining component integrity in harsh automotive conditions.
This gasket maker excels at seeking out and sealing leak paths that pre-cut gaskets cannot reach, offering complete sealing in areas where conventional gaskets fall short. Whether you are performing routine maintenance or addressing a complex repair, this product ensures a durable seal that resists oil, water, and other automotive fluids. It has been tested to OEM specifications to guarantee performance and reliability in the most demanding applications.
